- Why did Kurmi acquire Yarnlab?
Kurmi acquired Yarnlab to strengthen our ability to help customers plan and execute complex UC migrations—from on-premises systems to the cloud, or between vendors. Yarnlab’s technology and expertise complement and enhance Kurmi Provisioning Suite’s current migration capabilities. By folding Yarnlab’s migration technology into our platform, we provide large enterprises and managed service providers with even greater control over their unified communications stack and flexibility to adopt new technologies.
- What does Yarnlab do?
Yarnlab specializes in UC migration planning and readiness assessment with a leading expertise on Cisco UC technologies. Its tools and expertise help organizations understand, design, and execute migrations in a structured, data-driven way, reducing risk and ensuring smooth transitions.
- How will this acquisition benefit customers?

For the time being, yes. Kurmi will continue to support Yarnlab’s products separately from Kurmi Provisioning Suite. There will be plans to further integrate the tools in the coming months.
- Is pricing changing?
As we’ve been collaborating on projects for years, much will remain the same for now—just with the added benefit of payments being consolidated to a single vendor. Any changes in the future will be communicated in advance.
- Will support contacts change?
Not right away. Yarnlab’s team is joining Kurmi, so you’ll see continuity in expertise and support, but customers will eventually benefit from unified Kurmi support processes.
- How does this affect the existing Migration Assurance partnership with IR?
Migration Assurance remains a priority and will continue as a bundled solution. Kurmi is committed to its partners and will coordinate closely to ensure continued success for joint customers.

- Will I need to sign a new contract for Yarnlab services?
No. Existing agreements remain in force.
- What does this mean for Kurmi’s roadmap?
